DIPLOMA

On a greater note...We received Craig's Diploma in the mail...its HUGE.  I wasn't expecting an 11x14 size, but that makes sence....

"They" wanted 120$ to frame it for us and since I deal with framing  I thought I could do much better than that myself.

I picked up two mattes and can't quit decide which I want.  My mother in law liked the look of a black matte...said it seemed more professional and suited for this type of document (according to the samples "THEY" provided)  I was thinking black with the gold inner matte would be awesome since its Idaho's colors.  But when I put in the ivory/gold matte I just thought it looked amazing as it was I didn't need to try the black.  I don't want to open the black matte because then I can't return it :)  So if anyone has framed theirs with black and love it...let me know !!!!

No bar test is going to take this sucker away...yesterday I was thinking...this is what 10 years of schooling got us...please.....people on death row at least get a steak and lobster dinner and all we get for 10 years!!!!!!! of slaving away in school is a piece of paper.

So I got craig the IPOD TOUCH....Can I tell you what a happy boy I have on my hands.  When he is searching the Aps store he is in heaven.  Best purchase to date I think.  He has been wanting one for a year now and for the last 6 months I told him after the bar!!!! so it was that time to deliver and boy is it nice.

Everyone always says sliced bread is the greatest invention and He said he would rather cut his own bread that give up the IPOD invention..... Im certainly glad we don't have to make that decision because if its any indication on how I would deal with cutting bread by the way I cut bagels...that would not work for me

BAR FEELINGS

I have been getting bits and pieces about how Craig feels about how he did.  Sometimes he is pretty confident that he had to have passed.  He feels he studied and put more time and effort into it than anyone could have.  With his GPA, his chances are great and he feels he must have done better than some to make it into the 70% who pass...but then every once in a while he gets this dreaded feeling that "well maybe I didn't".  I'm sure thats normal.  But for the most part he feels he did enough to pass, their is just so much out of his control.  Its so subjective.  Also its not really how well you did, its compared to everyone else.  Looking back he says its just hard not to think about how crappy you did!!!!! but when thinking...well everyone else did just as crappy in General that he feels he had to have been less crapy than most :)

if that at all made sense...thats how he's feeling about it.

BAR TIME!!! updated...again.....AND AGAIN!!!

ok so day THREE is done!!!! which means the bar is done!!!! he finished and is so relieved to finally get a moment to breathe.  I didn't really get much out of him as so how he feels he did...I think he feels it could go either way.  We won't know if he passed for 6 weeks...now what do we do!  We need to plan a trip, thats what.  any suggestions???

...

ok so day TWO is done!!!!! which also means the essay portions are completely done!!!! Tomorrow will be the multiple choice questions which Craig normally does really well on and we are hoping can boost the lack of writing skills score on the essays for a combined score of PASSING!!!!  He didn't get any questions today that he wasn't at least familiar with so that's good.  He actually commented that they seemed too "SIMPLE".  from what he gathered from previous questions and practice test which were more complicated and convoluted and he just didn't know what they were going for or where to start.  So I don't know if him thinking they were too simple is a good thing or a bad thing...

He has been really focused on essays and memorizing case studies and rules the last 2 weeks, he is really going to have to study hard tonight to get his mind set back on multiple choice questioning.  He scored in the 94%tile on this section for the barbri national graded test...so hopefully he will do just as well on the real one.  cross your fingers :)

ok so day one is done!!!!!  It was idaho essays and Craig feels he did really well on 3 out of the 4 topics.  He kind of BS'ed his way through a constitutional law questions which he didn't think would be on the idaho section..but 3 out of 4 isn't bad.

Well its Monday Feb..23rd..the day we have been dreading for 6 months.  Craig left this morning to go to Boise for 3 days to take the Bar!!!!!!!  I have been a nervous reck all morning and can't even imagine what Craig is going though.  These next 3 days will be the worst experience and I think a decade worth of anxiety but hopefully it works out because no one wants to have to do this again.

Play day at the Trains

Yesterday we went to the Emmett park because it has been such nice days outside the past few days.  I brought my camera to take some pictures for the Phobloggraphy assignment this week (a photo blog some friends from moscow put together.  We stopped by these downtown trains on the way home.

Each day Soren is getting closer and closer to Kaydence in height and I think they're starting to look like they could be twins.  I always wanted a boy and girl set of twins growing up.  They were going to be named Nick and Anne :)  I also was going to be a doctor like my dad at this point in my life, which never REALLY become a true aspiration of mine in the first place, but non the less it didn't happen, but at least I can pretend Soren and Kaydence are my twins :)

Chuck E. Cheese + million kids = one great birthday!!!!

She seemed to have had a really nice, fun time.

It was a rough morning getting everyone to Chuck E. Cheese and we were about an hour later getting all set up than I wanted to... but once everyone was there we had a blast.

The kids were running around with their heads cut off trying to decide what ride they wanted to be on, and trying to figure out why all these tickets were coming out after the game...but we ended up with more than 250 tickets to share with 5 little kids.  They each got to get a price which was lovely.  We had pizza and cake and enjoyed a nice afternoon visiting with the Grandparents who have been gone for the last month on a 5 th wheel expedition down and around  St. George utah, Southern California...ect.

The place was packed and crazy, and all the kids had a blast...all and all it was....to quote kaydence at the end of the day when she was home playing with some new toys... "I had a good birthday!!!!!!"  I didn't even ask her..she was just sitting there and said it. :)  Chuck E. Cheese always does a mom proud.

On what planet do I have a 5 year old!!!!!

Well its finally here.  Kaydence has been waiting for this day for months and weeks.  She has been making invitations (her favorite thing to do) since the day after her last birthday.  I'm thinking this one has got to be good because she will probably remember her birthdays from now on...I mean what if this is her first memory when she is older and she looks back and it was boring.   "Soren's not so fun birthday"as she likes to now refer to Soren's last birthday.  Since we just moved here a month or so ago, we didn't really have many little friends made yet.  But the great thing about living close to family...lots of cousins!!!! So we invited 4 little girl cousins around her age, along with their families to Chucky Cheese.

I remember I went to a cousins birthday party at chucky cheese when she was 5 and its one that I really remember growing up....(I was more like 14 at the time :) but it was way fun none the less as I remember :) ) So hopefully we can make it out alive today and with fond memories as well.

a look back at Kaydence over the years.....when did she grow up????? She is just going to continue to leave childhood behind and grow more and more into young womanhood.  And I am really not sure if I am capable of raising a teenager......a teenage girl.....a teenage kaydence!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope these next few precious years I have left with my "little" kaydence will always be dear in my heart and I hope I can steer her "EVIL WAYS" into righteousness, and great attributes for the better :)

bar studies

So Craig takes the bar in 10 days and as he should be getting more and more unbearable and cranky he is actually the opposite.  I had a business headshots shoot today and he took time off of his studies to help me find and set up all my lighting equipment, he even posed for me to correctly meter the lights. :) (just like back in school)  He has been saying he's been feeling less and less motivated to keep up his studies but I am so proud of him...He has been slaving away 10 hours a day....at least 6 days a week now since the end of december...so I can only imaging getting sick of it after a while!!!!  ONLY 10 MORE DAYS BABE!

This happens to me more times than I would like to admit :)

What Do You Do All Day?

A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard.

The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall.

In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a Cartoon channel, and the
family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.

In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the
counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of
clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that
something serious had happened.

He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap
and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.

As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went.

He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"

She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?"

"Yes," was his incredulous reply.

She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."

oh Kaydence!!!! What a cutie

Last night we came home for eating at a well deserved and long over due family dinner at a mexican restaurant.  It was late and past the kids bedtime so I told them to hurry up and get their pj's on and I would read them their story.  They begged to stay up so I gave them the choice to either stay up for a few more minutes or their bedtime story.  They of course choice to stay up a few more minutes.  After a few more minutes Kaydence came in and wanted to play the Wii.  I said no and preceded to tell her it was time for bed.  She got really upset and told me "but mom!!!! you said I could stay up and play the game."  I said no I didn't say that.  I told you, you could stay up a little longer but didn't say anything about playing the video game.  We went back and forth for some time, and she kept insisting that she knew for a fact because she heard  me say it.  She wasn't caving anytime soon so I said something like....well even if I did say that, I change my mind then...its time for bed.  She grunted and walked off to her bedroom.  I was laying on my bed when a few moments later she comes walking in with her arms crisscrossed around a book held to her chest.  She walks in, tilts her head, starts swaying side to side and smiles and says...well!!!!! if you can change your mind, then I want to change my mind about the story.  :)  I just about died, it was so funny.  What a smarty pants...I, of course, caved and read her the story :)   I wish I could be the quick and smart sometimes.
