the many stages of canning corn!

First you go in and pick the corn (not pictured)

Then you have to fight of the flies as you husk the corn, we thought if we brought out the TV it wouldn't be so daunting but it was so bright we could barely see the black screen... but it did help a little bit :)

Then you take the corn and boil it a few minutes, and then place in cool water to cool down.

Here is a very early little pile of husked corn we were making.

After it's boiled we can then grade the corn off of the cob.  As you can tell this process is so messy and squirts corn juice all over the walls..so we put foil up to minimize the mess


Then we can bag up the corn....we filled about 240 bags.
